How the island finder works
The five questions cover what usually decides an island trip: the occasion, what matters most to you, how many nights you have, where you fly from and when you travel. Every island covered on Lagoon Edit has a score for each possible answer, drawn from the same research behind the guides: seasons and weather, flight times and connections, the final transfer and the kind of resorts each island does well.
What matters most counts for the most, followed by the occasion and the month you travel, because the wrong season or the wrong kind of island changes the whole holiday. Trip length and your departure region then separate islands that are close on everything else, so a five-night trip from Europe is not sent across the Pacific.
Your shortlist explains why each island fits and links the guides worth reading next. Treat it as a starting point: prices and availability for your dates still decide the final choice.
