Who writes Lagoon Edit

Lagoon Edit is written and edited by Sushant, from Dubai. It is not owned by a hotel group, airline, tour operator or tourism board, and every guide is published under the same editorial standards set out on this page.

Editorial guides

Most of the site is editorial: comparisons, resort collections, itineraries and planning guides. These are researched and written without input from the resorts they feature, and the choice of what to include, how to rank it and who it suits is an editorial one. The research method is explained in How We Review.

Lagoon Edit may work with resorts, hotel groups and tourism boards on paid partnerships. When it does, you’ll always know:

  • Sponsored content is labelled. A paid feature carries a clear “Sponsored” label at the top of the page, naming the partner.
  • Hosted or discounted stays are disclosed. If a resort provides a stay, a transfer or an experience free or at a reduced rate, the guide says so near the top.
  • Paid links are marked. Links that are part of a paid arrangement are tagged as sponsored in the page code, as search engines require.

If a page carries no sponsored label or disclosure, nobody paid for it to be written or for a resort to appear in it.

Many guides include booking links that may earn a commission if you book, at no extra cost to you. Articles with these links carry a short notice near the top, and the affiliate disclosure explains how they work.

Accuracy and updates

Facts such as prices, transfer times, taxes and age policies are checked against official and current sources. Prices are indicative and carry a note saying when they were last checked. When a guide is revised, the Updated date at the top changes so you can see how recent it is.

Corrections

Mistakes get fixed. If you spot a price, rule or detail that is wrong or out of date, email contact@lagoonedit.com or use the contact form. Once it is confirmed, the guide is corrected and its Updated date changes.
