When you click a booking link on Lagoon Edit and then make a booking, the booking site may pay us a small commission. You pay the same price as you would by going to the site directly. The commission comes from the booking site, not from you, and adds nothing to your booking.

Booking partners

Booking links currently go to Trip.com. If we add or change partners, this page will be updated first.

How to recognise them

  • Booking buttons such as Check rates for… below each recommended resort.
  • Check rates links in the comparison tables near the end of a guide.
  • A short notice near the top of every article that contains affiliate links.

Affiliate links are marked as sponsored in the page code, as search engines require.

What commissions never change

  • Sponsored or hosted coverage is always labelled clearly at the top of the page, as the editorial policy explains.
  • Commissions never decide which islands or resorts we recommend, or how they are ranked.
  • Places without booking links are recommended when they are the better choice.
  • Drawbacks are pointed out, including at resorts with booking links.

You can read how places are chosen and compared on the how we review page.

Tracking and your privacy

Clicks on booking links are counted per resort and article, so we can see which guides are useful. Those counts are not linked to you. When you reach a booking site, it may set its own cookies to record the referral. The privacy policy explains this in more detail.
